Events of the week - May 25


Queen Letizia of Spain visit in Honduras and El Salvador, where she is promoting women's rights and other topics as a support for the most disadvantaged.


King Willem Alexander and a joyful Queen Maxima begin their American tour. The couple was in canada while starting from June 1 will be in the United States where they will meet President Barack Obama and his wife.


Maxima was absolutely stunning during the state banquet at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.

If you like men in uniform ..... Crown Prince Haakon attended the celebration for the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Narvik.

A  royal court’s spokeswoman announced :  “Chris O'Neill has left Sweden and has moved to London. The family intends to move to the UK and Chris has his principal business activities in England and he has moved there now. He is there to prepare for the next accommodation for the family. Princess Madeleine, Princess Leonore and the new baby are expected to move to London in the fall.".

Jordanian royals attend a ceremony to celebrate the country's 69th Independence Day, in Amman


At the ceremony was also attended by Princess Mona, mother of King Abdullah, pictured between the two nieces, Princess Salma and Prince Hussein


Smiling (finally!) Princess Charlene and Prince Albert attend the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix at the Monaco street circuit in Monte-Carlo

Throwback Thursday: Beatrix's Enthronement

The April 30, 1980, the day of her 71th birthday, ( I will be born less than two months after) Queen Juliana abdicated in favor of her daughter Beatrix.


 The investiture of the new Queen was held the same day.
As usual (and as we could see also the enthronement of King Willem Alexander) was dusted off the mantle of ermine.
Beatrix wore a long white dress by dressmaker Theresia Vreugdenhil who also restored the robe of ermine before the event, the Military William Order and "The Pearl Button Tiara" that was used regularly by Queen over the years.






The base of the tiara has been used by Maxima on her wedding day with Willem Alexander, instead of the pearls were mounted five diamond stars.

Unfortunately the big day of Beatrix was marred by violent event due to the forced eviction of some squats illegally occupied.


 Immediately after her enthronement Beatrix announced that the celebration of her birthday (Koninginnedag - or Queen's Day) would remain in April 30 in honor of her mother.
Beatrix's birthday is in January and the weather still would not have been favorable to the celebration outside anyway. 
So it remained until the enthronement of King Willem Alexander, son of Beatrix Of The Netherlands and current king, he ascended the throne after the abdication of his mother in 2013

 "Koninginnedag" (Queen's Day) is now "koningsdag" (King's Day) and is celebrated on April 27, birthday of King Willem Alexander

Events of the week


Prince Harry has delighted us again with two appearances at the annual Chelsea Flower show at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.


 The second appearence with the Royal Family Including, of course, The Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex

Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall are currently in Ireland for an official visit

During his visit, in a moving speech ahead of his visit to the site where his beloved relative was assassinated, Charles spoke of his family's 'deep loss' after the death of Mountbatten in August, 1979 in Ireland. Prince Charles described Lord Mountbatten as the 'grandfather I never had'

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and Queen Mathilde of Belgium opened an exibition in Netherlands
No, this is not the carnival in Rio :) is just the meeting between two of the most colorful Queens!


We are accustomed to the improbable hats worn by Queen Maxima, but I have to say: "She is the only in the world to wear offhandedly hats that would seem absolutely ridiculous on anyone else!"

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary - Official Visit to Germany

- First day of the tour and i already love her!



Mary is almost always a certainty!
On their arrival in Hamburg, on the first day, Mary choose a very simple look with blacks pants and black shoes. Most detailed at the top with a beautiful jacket with applications and stones on the neck and sleeves.



My attention was drawn also by the necklace according Style of Mary might be yellow gold and rutile quartz.



In the evening, the Princely couple attended Dinner for Business Organizations in the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce


-For the second day, a look that we've seen before ... nothing new but it looks always good on her! Due the the variable climate Princess Mary took a white coat PRADA




In the evening the couple attended a gala dinner for the business delegation, Mary was wearing a very elegant jumpsuit ... Likes !!
The suit is from the Danish designer Ole Yde (Spring 2015) / Shoes and Handbag Gianvito Rossi (via Style of Mary)


Unfortunately today we are at the end of the trip! Mary wore her JOSEPH Lynn silk belted dress again. (thx Tesouras&Tiaras) Shoes Christian Louboutin, handbag Hugo Boss



It is always wonderful to see their love!



To complete the look of Mary could not miss a couple of refined pearls earrings.

Throwback Thursday : Lady Diana Spencer meet Princess Grace of Monaco

Indeed it's not just a simple meeting between princesses, a great icon met a future global icon!
It was also the first official engagement of Lady Diana Spencer, the future Princess of Wales.

On March 3, 1981, a week after the announcement of her engagement with Prince Charles, the couple was At Goldsmiths Hall In The City Of London to attend a Fund-raising Concert and Reception in Aid Of The Royal Opera House.

For the occasion, Diana chose to wear a black dress EMANUEL. On their arrival, they were greeted by an enormous mass of flash by many photographers present at the event. "I was quite big-chested then and they all got frightfully excited," she says later.


The meeting between the two women was described by some journalists of the time as "full of sensuality." It seems that speaking with Diana, who worried about her dress, Grace has said 'Do not worry dear, it'll only get worse'.

Spanish Royals Attend Their Daughter leonor's First Communion

This morning the Spanish royal family participated in the Holy Communion of Princess Leonor of Spain at the Asuncion de Nuestra Senora Church, in Madrid. It seems to be a beautiful sunny day and warm, as usual in Spain.


Queen Letizia looked beautiful, very elegant! with a acquamarine silk dress and a coat of white embroidered lace from FELIPE VARELA (winning combination!) I look at her and immediately comes to my mind the summer! I prefer this look "wave" for her hair! Earrings in quartz and rubies by Tous  .... Fabulous! She wore it before on a state visit in France.

The syndrome of "Cinderella and the glass slipper" hit Letizia! I lost hours to decide if i liked her shoes or not .... then I decided .... NO!

Events of the (last) week

The Day of the proclamation of Felipe VI we all knew that he and Letizia have brought new wind in Spain, in fact last week Letizia broke another tradition of the Kingdom of Juan Carlos and Sofia. During the delivery of the flag to the Civil Guard Queen Letizia did not wear the long black dress with traditional mantilla and comb but chose to wear the dress used during the Proclamation of King Felipe giving due importance to the event.


The long tour of Prince Harry in New Zealand has come to an end. It was a great trip, great pictures and wonderful moments that dissolve the tender hearts ..... I love this man! There's nothing we can do, no matter how old are you... we love him!
