The Day of the proclamation of Felipe VI we all knew that he and Letizia have brought new wind in Spain, in fact last week Letizia broke another tradition of the Kingdom of Juan Carlos and Sofia. During the delivery of the flag to the Civil Guard Queen Letizia did not wear the long black dress with traditional mantilla and comb but chose to wear the dress used during the Proclamation of King Felipe giving due importance to the event.
The long tour of Prince Harry in New Zealand has come to an end. It was a great trip, great pictures and wonderful moments that dissolve the tender hearts ..... I love this man! There's nothing we can do, no matter how old are you... we love him!

Admit .... you're yawning too! :)
Congrats on your blog Simona. In fact, for what I read, there's not any specifc protocol rule that says Letizia should wear black and mantilla on that event. Victoria Eugenia never did, for example. Sofia of Spain was allways very traditional and she allways wanted to be part of the spanish culture (being greek at all), and she wore matilla in every ocasion she could. But that's not a rule. Neither wearing black.
RispondiEliminaThanks Lurdes :) I think this change has been positive, it is a strong signal of change. Indeed it's not a protocol so Letizia was not obliged. If I'm not mistaken also Sofia, when was Princess, wore colorful clothes and no mantilla for the occasion.
