On July 5, at 4:30 pm, Princess Charlotte will be christened at St Mary Magdalene Church on the Queen's Sandringham Estate. In the same church the princess' late grandmother Princess Diana was baptised on August 30, 1961 when she was almost two months old.
The service will be performed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby.
The palace say that it'll be close family and godparents in attendance. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh along with The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will be present, Michael and Carole Middleton will also be present along with other family members.
Fans will be able to catch a glimpse of Princess Charlotte on the day as well-wishers are invited to gather outside the church.
The palace released a statement inviting well-wishers to take part in the fun.
"The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the warm wishes they have received since Princess Charlotte's birth – many of them from local people in Norfolk – and are delighted the paddock can be opened on the day of the christening," said the statement.
The Godparents of the Princess will be announced on the day of christening, as a favorite for nomination: Prince Harry, that who will not attend the ceremony because he is already in Africa, where he will spend the summer traveling around the continent, aunt Pippa, as well as princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Princess Charlotte will wear the same royal silk and lace christening gown as George.
Prince George's christening gown had been made by Angela Kelly, the personal assistant and senior dresser to the Queen, who in 2004 commissioned a replica of the original, which she reportedly deemed too fragile for further use.
The Victorian gown has been created by a young woman named Janet Sutherland, the daughter of a coal miner from Falkirk, who died in 1852 at the age of 45. Sutherland was commissioned by Queen Victoria to make the gown for the christening of her eldest daughter, Victoria, Princess Royal, in 1841.
In her diary Queen Victoria described it as ‘a white Honiton point lace robe and mantle over white satin’, and wrote that her daughter had looked ‘very dear’ in it.
Janet Sutherland went on to receive the title of embroiderer to the Queen.
In the 163 years that followed, the gown was worn by all royal babies, including Prince George’s father, the Duke of Cambridge, grandfather the Prince of Wales and great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth
Let's take a look back at some british royal christenings in the History
The Duke and Duchess of York (later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother) pictured with their daughter (later, Queen Elizabeth II) as she sleeps in the precious christening robe.
Prince Charles was christened in the Music Room of the Royal Palace on December 15, 1948, using water from the River Jordan and his godparents were King (maternal grandfather), King Haakon VII of Norway (his cousin, for whom attended Alexander Cambridge, The Earl of Athlone); Queen Mary (his maternal great-grandmother); Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon (his maternal aunt); Prince George of Greece (his paternal great-uncle, in place of which I attend the Duke of Edinburgh); Princess Victoria of Hesse-Darmstadt (his paternal great-grandmother); Lady Brabourne (his cousin); and David Bowes-Lyon (his maternal great-uncle)
As his father, Prince William was christened in music room at Buckingham Palace on 4 August, 1982. William had six godparents: former King Constantine II of Greece (his paternal second cousin once removed); Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy (his paternal first cousin twice removed); the Duchess of Westminster; Lady Susan Hussey; Lord Romsey (his paternal second cousin once removed); and Sir Laurens van der Post. William was affectionately called "Wombat" by his parents.
Prince William did his show at Prince Harry's Christening, he was baptised on 21 December 1984 at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Robert Runcie. His godparents were the Duke of York (his paternal uncle), Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones (his paternal cousin once removed), Lady Celia Vestey (née Knight), Carolyn Bartholomew (née Pride), Bryan Organ and Gerald Ward (former officer in the Household Cavalry)
We will see Prince George running around to the palace? Some hilarious skit? It would be wonderful!! :)
Princess Beatrice was baptised in the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace on 20 December 1988
As well as Princess Charlotte, Princess Eugenie was christened at the Church of St Mary Magdalene, Sandringham, by the Bishop of Norwich, on 23 December 1990. Both, Beatrice and Eugenie, worn the precious christening robe.

Louise was born prematurely on 8 November 2003 at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey after her mother was rushed there by ambulance from the Wessex home at Bagshot Park, Surrey; Prince Edward was not present for the birth because it came so suddenly.
Lady Louise was delivered by the Royal Surgeon and Gynaecologist Marcus Setchell via emergency Caesarean section due to placental abruption, which caused severe blood loss to both child and mother. Louise was transferred to a neo-natal unit in St George's Hospital, Tooting, London, as a precaution. Meanwhile, the Countess remained at Frimley Park until she was well enough to be discharged, on 23 November 2003.
