The baptism was held at St Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham Estate. The same church where was baptized Princess Diana. The Dukes of Cambridge have chosen, as usual, to make a small private ceremony with close family. The flowers used for Baptism were donated to EACH (one of Charity strongly supported by Kate as patron)
Kate seemed to come from another era, with an elegant white coat by Alexander McQueen and hat Jane Taylor. New earrings and necklace by Mappin & Webb.
Princess Charlotte wore the same royal silk and lace christening gown as George that is the replica of the christening gown created in 1841 for the first daughter of Queen Victoria (We have already talked about here)

                                                                        Godparents

1- The Hon Laura Fellowes, she is William's cousin and the daughter of Princess Diana's older sister, Lady Jane Fellowes.

2- Sophie Carter is an old friend of Kate's.

3- James Meade went to Eton with William and has been a good friend since school.

4- Adam Middleton is Kate's cousin.

5- Thomas van Straubenzee, 33, has known William since both attended Ludgrove prep school in Berkshire, and he accompanied the Prince to New Zealand on his gap year.

Princess Charlotte was baptised in the Lily Font, commissioned by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1840. The Lily Font's decoration represents purity & new life. It was first used at Victoria, Princess Royal's christening.

Once again we could see Charlotte's beauty, beautiful and peaceful in her Millson pram, previously used for Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. I fell in love with this pram!!

Even if the protagonist was the little Princess .... the real star of the day was the Prince George! Upon arrival, he walked holding hands at Prince William and looking a bit suspicious the crowd that greeted him (I would be inside George's head to know what he thought seeing all those strangers fidget just to greet him!!)  :)

Although he was very nice, i don't very undertand the idea of dressing like his father when he was the same age, after seeing George at the Troopin The Colour with the same dress wore  by Prince William in his debut on the balcony of Backingham Palace, today he was wearing an outfit very similar to that worn by William when he went to meet Prince Harry for the first time at St Mary's Hospital

A Queen and two future King of Great Britain

Leaving the church after the service, George was visibly tired and was promptly consoled by daddy...

All guests had a look classic and elegant. The Duchess of Cornwall with a light blue dress that gave her a "Marilyn Monroe moment" as she arrives for the christening! Very nice hat but HORROR for her bag!

Carole Middleton in a dress and coat grey with lace applications and uncle Pippa with a nice ivory dress (very chic!)

In theme with the retro style of the occasion also Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo Prince George's nanny who wore the official uniform of  'Norland College' which is the top training college for Nannies in the world.

I always thought that is a fortune be Prince George's nanny ... after seeing this uniform I think no ...... it isn't!

After the service guests was served with slices of christening cake taken from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding cake at Sandringham House.

The whole family leaves the church
